About the position

We are looking for a PE Associate to work directly with the investment team focusing on the financial services vertical. The new hire will learn every aspect of this multi-platform business. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a firm with a diversified growth strategy.

It is a traditional Associate role of modeling/analytics; and, assuring that the quality of the product is excellent before it hits partners' desks.

A short summary of duties

  • Help manage transactions across the financial services vertical
  • Construct investment theses through industry research and pipeline development
  • Present at investment committees, own deal models, create and vet business cases for valuation, help support due diligence
  • Draft LOIs and negotiate key deal points with sellers and sellers' bankers
  • Support existing and prospective portfolio companies through various initiatives including capital optimization, M&A, market analysis, and operations

  • Less than 4 years of FIG IB/PE/HF/ER/ Operations/Corp. Development – Must have exposure to FIG transactions
  • Competent at in-depth financial analysis
  • Quantitative and Detail Oriented
  • Strong Financial Modeling Skills
  • Must understand structuring of deals
  • Ability to write investment memoranda
  • Outstanding Communication Skills - written and verbal
  • Completion of a Strong Analyst Training Program and/or Modeling program is a MUST if coming from Operations/Community Bank
  • Understanding of M&A, Capital Markets, and Accounting
