OIL & GAS MODELING COURSE

This module contains 17 lessons that teach you the basics of upstream oil and gas. You will learn about the different sectors and technologies involved in exploring and producing hydrocarbons from underground reservoirs. You will also learn about the legal and regulatory aspects of land ownership and drilling rights and the roles and responsibilities of various engineers in the upstream process.

In this module, there are 13 lessons that teach you about forecasting and type curve analysis, how to estimate the value of a company's reserves and inventory, how to build a net asset value (NAV) model with different scenarios and sensitivities, how to create a reserves and exploration (R&E) table, and how to compare the valuation multiples of different oil and gas companies.

In this module, there are 15 lessons that teach you how to build a PDP model. You will learn how to estimate the production, energy content, gas processing, and equivalents of the reserves. You will also learn how to create a processing statement, forecast the revenues and costs, and calculate the taxes and cashflow. 

In this module, there are 9 lessons that teach you about the key assumptions and inputs, such as TC profiles, decline curve analysis, D&C costs, and timing of cash flows. You will also learn how to calculate the summary metrics, such as NPV, IRR, and payback period, as well as the break-even price of oil or gas for a given well.

In this module, you will learn how to build a NAV model. You will learn how to set up the layout of the model, how to input the rig schedule and well schedule, how to estimate the reserves and production profile, and how to create a quad plot to visualize the results.

This module consists of 26 video lessons that walk you through a case study. You will learn how to analyze an investor presentation, evaluate an A&D transaction, and describe the key features of an oil and gas asset. You will also learn how to calculate the price differentials, operating expenses, taxes, and capital expenditures. Finally, you will learn how to estimate the reserves, production rates, decline curves, and economics.

In this module, there are 6 lessons on transaction comps for O&G companies. You will learn how to select comparable companies, calculate key metrics, analyze data trends and drivers, and compare different valuation methods. This module will help you understand how to value oil and gas assets and companies using examples and data sources.
