Leveraged Finance Analyst (Startup/Remote)

About the firm

Founded in 2020 by a team of LevFin professionals with 40+ years in the industry across Invest Corp, JPM, BAML, and Barings, the fintech firm is disrupting the LevFin investment process the way Bloomberg disrupted the equity markets. We are growing quickly, having doubled our client count since January and completed our seed round in April 2022. 

We are looking to round out our founding team with LevFin professionals who want experience building a business from the ground up while challenging the credit industry status quo. We pride ourselves on a collaborative environment and are motivated to add proactive, driven, like-minded individuals to our team to help drive our innovation.

Our suite of products improves investor efficiency, allowing clients to source more ideas, manage a higher volume of credits, and focus on critical, alpha-generating, responsibilities.

The Position

Split into two functions:

• Founding Team Member: Participate in sales, marketing, IR, product development, and every other element involved in growing a business, and
• Credit Analyst: Leverage your credit/finance skills to create and maintain the products we sell to our clients who invest in the private leverage finance markets. The pay range we're offering is $110,000 to $120,000 with an equity compensation package consistent with a key employee in an early-stage business.

Responsibilities of a Founding Team Member

• Assisting with marketing, sales, and client management, as well as attending conferences (e.g. Opal, IMN, LSTA, etc.)
• Creating new products and devising business growth opportunities
• Supporting fundraising initiatives by representing the business on sales pitches and investor outreach efforts
• Help establish the firm's various business policies, including budgeting, compliance, recruiting, HR, etc.
• Other – we'd love to hear any initiatives or ideas you can bring to the table

Responsibilities of a Leveraged Finance Analyst

• Building materials for and maintaining a portfolio of private leveraged loan and high yield companies
• Creating/updating issuer financial models, creating earnings summaries and flash results
• Following key events for issuers and uploading notices
• Addressing any issuer or product-related questions from our client base (i.e. LevFin investors)

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. degree required; specializations in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred
• 1-3 years experience with an investment bank, investment management firm, or direct lending firm; credit/leveraged finance experience is a requirement
• Strong modeling skills for purposes of debt financing, valuation and LBOs required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to synthesize complicated financial reporting and simplify complex sector nuances
• Individual must be organized, dependable, able to multi-task and manage priorities, display initiative, and have the ability to work independently in a demanding, fast-paced environment
• While the position is remote, we expect a team member to be available for EST business hours
