Choosing him as my mentor was one of the best decisions of my life because he did exactly what he promised: Help me get my dream internship in Sales and Trading at a bulge bracket. The process and way to this were far more enjoyable and easier than I ever imagined. When I reached out to my mentor, I had no experience in Finance and, despite a genuine interest, not too much clue about the field I wanted to enter. I had worked in an entirely different industry for the past years and was hoping to pivot. Everyone I was talking to told me I did not stand much chance of breaking into S&T, let alone a bulge bracket, given my lack of experience. But he was different. He told me I could do it, and he was right. We worked together very closely for the upcoming weeks, and I am pretty certain that I would not be at the point where I am now without him-having him as my mentor made this possible. He told me everything I needed to know about the S&T division, explained what to expect during the interviews, gave me clear instructions for preparing, and explained a lot of what I needed to know himself. Even though he had a busy schedule, he always took the time for phone calls with me to make sure that all my questions were answered. Within the shortest time after receiving the interview invitation, we managed to get my preparation level from 0 to 100. I walked into the interviews feeling confident in a way that I did not imagine possible at the start of the application process. I nailed every single of the interviews, and these were my very first finance interviews ever. I would never have imagined everything going so smoothly: Having my first interviews at a BB and getting the job. He made this possible, he is super friendly and fun, and I recommend him to anyone who wants to enter Finance.
