Arts Writers Grant Program

Applications for grants from the Arts Writers Grant Program, administered by the Creative Capital Foundation, with support from the Andy Warhol Foundation. Grants ranging from $3,000 to $50,000 each will support writers whose work is on contemporary visual art. Grants are available in the following categories: articles, blogs, books, new and alternative media, and short-form writing. Additional information is available on the foundation's Web site. Who may apply: individual art historians, critics, curators, journalists, or practitioners in other fields related to the visual arts who are at least 25 years old, have been published, and are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Applicants who have O-1 visas are also welcome to apply. Full-time students are not eligible. Employees, consultants, board members, and donors to the Creative Capital or Warhol foundations and their family members are also not eligible. Grants will not support series of articles, interviews, archives or databases, projects on Andy Warhol, or projects that will be published by commercial galleries.
