Teaching opportunity

Arts with an Impact is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering generations through the arts.   We help university theatre students aquire teaching experience through our after-school program where they create a class curriculum and direct elementary age students in theatre classes. Requirements: ·   Outgoing and nurturing personality ·   Desire to work and share your love of theatre with children ·   Afternoon availability for Fall 2008 (1 or 2 days a week, 3-5 pm.) ·   Attend 12 hours of classroom training ·   Training Dates: Sunday, August 31st - Sunday, Sept. 7th ·   Class Dates: Sept. 8th or Sept. 14th - Nov. 17 Each class consists of 8 -12 children and two student directors.  Classes meet either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, so they can accommodate your school schedule. Classes are held at Kolter Elementary and Parker Elementary. There is a small stipend of $150 - $225 to help pay for gas.
